from what i know UWS does not offer these two degrees as a double degree but it would be awesome, does anyone know if they are planning to offer it?

theres no such things as dumb questions :)

I doubt they would. If theres no demand which equals no money, then the uni wouldn't waste funds creating a degree which has no demand either from students or the industries.

Can you do some Communications units if you can't do the whole degree?
I found a lot of the time if a double degree doesn't actually exist you cant do them at the same time coz of the way double degrees are structured.

Well, the problem with the social science degree is its structure. They have structured it in a way in which you can only specialise in what the university offers. So unlike other degrees you can't really choose free electives from other disciplines.

tehre are always Masters by course work which is sorta the same thing, its not a masters by research so its just like doing uni now, studying units and takes about 1.5-2 yrs FT depending on the ocurse. so if your doing social science, then after that apply to do a masters which usually needs a bachelors degree and/or work experience.
btw the only communications masters degree tha tUWS has is M Professional Communication...
