I am VERY interested in this course however my 2008 UAI was 74.40 and i needed 84.20 am i screwed? Also i have none of the pre-requisites, i have already been accepted in the bachelor of policing course however at bankstown is it possible to transfer? Can i get some information form current students who are in the course who can tell me how "hard" it is and if i may struggle? I did senior sceince i got 90% and ive always been interested in the field, what do you do in the course what should i do because i dont want to miss out on this! please reply asap!

its a really good course, trust me...ive spoken to the uni people and they said its pretty top notch, they have a crime house and everythingg :)
and i suggest you check out UWS site...and the course description thing.
and the pre-requisites...ive only done biology & general maths.
it doesn't really matter.

i got a prelim offer today and just enrolled! :uhhuh:

anyway,do you live around the greater western sydney?
because, UWS automatically gives you 5 bonus points towards your UAI.
and another 5 bonus points if you got a band 5 in biology, chemistry or somethingg.
and they give preference to the people applying in greater western sydney

UWS generally lets you get in a course even if its like 10 UAI points less.

i think you'll be alrightt.
goodluck :)

In relation to your question i have heard it is a very good course hence my choice to accept my offer and do it. Many people say it is a very fulfilling course which gives you more then enough qualifications to go into the workforce as a professional forensic scientist whether it be with the police or the private sector.

http://community.boredofstudies.org/newreply.php?do=newreply&noquote=1&p=4034694when i went to do the 'unit set selection'
it said:
" At present Unit Sets are not applicable to you. Please move to the next enrolment step"

You've been accepted into the police.

Why not just stay in the police, and if you want to do forensics down the track, the police will pay for your training...

Eh?

Yeah thats exactly what mine said and i was like "ooooook well thats a problem" lol. Ive got all the "choose one of" stuff down too.

The course description only says elective but gives no hint whatsoever to the choices. Prolly will see you there lol. Gotta start making connections early aye :p.

So excited to start, cant wait, ever since i got my confirmation ive been pumped.

Hey did you get a call from UWS congratulating you on your offer and asking if you wanted any further information??

I did but was out at the time, and have to call back tomorrow or Friday.

Im thinking about asking about the elective choices and whether you can enroll for more than one session at a time.

Lol i felt so special when i listened to the voice mail.

I was like 2 years of hardcore, brain numbing studying has finally paid off and now i have proof lol. Did you put in all of the units?? or just for the first session (the autumn one)??

I haven't yet because i want to make sure ive got everything sorted out first but you are able to but in the 'unit selection', just not the 'unit sets' from what ive been seeing.

I think for some courses there is no need for us to put in 'unit sets' because there are all individual units.

This helps a bit:
