I'm thinking, for maths 4U this year:

70-75/120

For 3U:

56/84 (everybody over-estimates 3U cut off, it's usually in the mid to high 50's I think)

Yeah, you can do whatever you like. I did 2 unit last year, but ended up not doing well with 4U so just doing 3U and I sat the 2U paper again the other day. {That sentence sounds much more complicated than it should be}

i got no idea about the cut offs and the amount of scaling for 3 unit but i got 60-65 i rkn (could be overestimating ) and yeh how come it doesnt feel like a exam i sat in which i deserve the highest grading??

personally id love for band 6 cut off to be high 50s to low 60s but like r u guys sure..??

lol so you did 3u last year, but did 2u only again this year?

thanks heaps for this info, it makes me feel heaps better, i mean if i dont get over e4 in 3u, it gives me the option of just doing that again and keeping my relatively ok 4u mark.

i think you'd have to be in atleast 65+ /84 to get an E4. I know the scaling willbe pretty good this year but would it be fair on the ppl who got over 70/84 to be getting E4's as well as those who got say 58/84? thats a pretty big gap.
But then again, i have no idea how 3 unit scaling works.
Could 71% raw really go to 90% scaled? thats crazy!

Makes perfect sense. The people who get 60ish will get 45ish for their MX1 mark, those who get 80ish will get 50ish for their MX1 mark.
