looking at last years results and the years before will there always be only like 2% of the state getting band 6 for bio???
If everyone does well will more people get band 6 or will we be scaled down...so I hear??? =(

Im not worrying about it coz there is no hope for me to get a Band 6 :D

But to get band 6, they have certain criteria (normally blah blah crap). If people can reach this criteria they will be awarded Band 6

If the test is hard they take this into consideration and rework the bands...

You have to remember Bio has a huge candidature so 2% of approx 14000 is alot...

As for me.. Band 4-5 is wat I am aiming for...

But smarty pants ppl like Babydoll :p, Telepathic and co are obviously Band 6 material...

well i would WISH for a band 6, and of course im sure everyone aims for it but im thinking realistically and im going to be with happy with anything from a low band 5... if i get in the 80s ill be ecstatic...
im in the 80's for assessments atm but once the exam comes... who knows what will happen

2% out of 14000 is only 280 students... (unless i did some majorly wrong calcuations there!)

that seems like too little to me... considering a couple of years ago my bio teacher had her whole class in band 6... (thats like 20 people and i doubt that if only 280 got a band 6 then 20 would be from my school... not that it's bad)

think about all the smart ppl that do bio... it's gotta be more than 2%

no its definitely 2%, I remember being told about it at the start of the year.
Maybe the class that got all band 6s' was doing the old HSC, before 2001?
