i was just doing a question,
"The reactions of oxides with water is hydrolysis. Write conventional equations for the hydrolysis of these:"

i got stuck on one of them...
it was d)phosphuros pentoxide,

and i got P205 + H2O ---> 2HPO3
but the answers had sometyihng else

Well first of all, PO4 or PO3 has a valency of -3, so the acid should be triprotic.

I'm not completely sure, but I think it's:
P2O5 (s) + 3H2O (l) --> 2H3PO4 (aq.)
