Could people please give me thoughts, ideas, context, notes etc on the following poem by John Donne

74. "Batter my heart, three person'd God; for, you"
BATTER my heart, three person'd God; for, you
As yet but knocke, breathe, shine, and seeke to mend;
That I may rise, and stand, o'erthrow mee,'and bend
Your force, to breake, blowe, burn and make me new.
I, like an usurpt towne, to'another due, 5
Labour to'admit you, but Oh, to no end,
Reason your viceroy in mee, mee should defend,
But is captiv'd, and proves weake or untrue.
Yet dearely'I love you,'and would be loved faine,
But am betroth'd unto your enemie: 10
Divorce mee,'untie, or breake that knot againe;
Take mee to you, imprison mee, for I
Except you'enthrall mee, never shall be free,
Nor ever chast, except you ravish mee.

I sorta chose the easy way out because the poem was a little hard to read - so I chose to 'help' out in context. Not sure I helped - because I just Googled - but he seemed really interesting, I'll probably read about this in the holidays, if I have time.

Some sites to consider (although they're pulled off first page google): Wiki and this.

Have you ever consider www.jstor.com/? I used that site for context in regards to Thomas More's Utopia. I'm sure they'd have notes about John Donne - I'll do a search for you later on.
