Hi guys, i received a main round offer for comm/law at uws and bcomm at macq. I certainly do have an interest in studying law but i wouldnt say im passionate about it. Im wondering what would be more advantageous in terms of job prospects. I know that work experience, extra curricular activities and grades count for employment but im really having a hard time deciding on either of these two options because the com law provides me two career paths despite how competitive it is and im not quite sure what i would like to major in commerce yet.

As of now, MACQ BCOM seems like the safer option because I wouldnt know if I would actually enjoy perusing law but i could also be missing out on the opportunity.

Nobody enjoys studying law (I don't think), I would say go with comm/law.

I know some people who got in comm macq with 70 ATAR, not that it matters.

Don't worry bro trust me I suggest stay at UWS for com/law, but prestigiously, would go to macq if you dont wanna do anything in law. Or you can chuck a yolo and you can do a ''test run'', you take a gap year off UWS (still a student in UWS), then yolo sneaky it in macq com and give it a try, if you dont like it then you can discontinue macq and go back to continuing in UWS without losing any credits, and screw the transport man too far.

If you're not dedicated to law, definitely go to Macquarie. If you really excel you might even be able to transfer into commerce/law at a more reputable university. Macquarie has a pretty good reputation for commerce.

OK, just to fully confirm, STAY AT UWS, something just happened near Macquire that caused the whole city to evacuate, I think a building was on fire next to Macquire (Bangaroo i think), so yea just stay at UWS just to be safe and not be endangered and your life not at risk

LMAO, I think you got the whole story mixed up, a fire started where they were contructing Packer's new casino/hotel, and it started in the underground area. The building nearest to it only got smoked and never caught fire, and if you're talking about Macquarie , then that would be the Macquarie Bank office which only had smoke coming towards it (not even evacuate worthy). All this was in the city btw (Wynyard)

hahahahaha, that's MACQ Bank.

MACQ uni is in a completely different region of Sydney, except for a small CBD campus for accounting.

To the OP, i'd go for B Comm at MACQ. You always have the option to transfer if you want (and do well enough), i'd only do law at uws if you were truly passionate about it.

thats just about as bad, if not worse, than the kid who sent a resume to PWC, that was addressed to Deloitte.
