i am in year 11 now and am starting the year 12 course, i have cosen one related text which is an article about sudanese settlers in australia. that is a written text and now i need a visual, does anyone have anys suggestions that relate

eg Bra boys (which i am not doing)

so a movie or a poster or anything that is predominantly visual

How about an artwork? Frida Kahlo will be very good. "My dress is hanging there" or "On the borders of Mexico and United States". Her artworks are really simple to analyse. You can see the belonging in each artwork simply through symbolism etc.

Or you can use Shirin Neshat. Her photographs and artworks are really straightforward and you'll immdeiately pick up the sense of belonging as a group, a culture, through a shared experience.

I used an image from the picture book "The Red Tree" by Shaun Tan. The image was titled "Nobody Understands". It was a great related because you can interpret it in many different ways.
