Nope unlike some mods all benefactors are benefactors regardless of what forums they help in our where they are reading etc...

Well I only know what happens if u have been accepted...When u go to group memberships u will see the benefactor group and u will be able to either be identified as a benefactor or...wateva u r...ie. assitant member...

when you apply it says the application is pending
if you are not accepted the page will go back to how it was originally, before you applied

Thats not entirely true.

Your selection is somewhat based upon your excellence within a certain area of the forum, and it is intended as a help to the mods and admins.

Being a benefactor merely is there to signify help to those in the "help" sections of the forum. (Well supposed to be).

There is no power, they cannot ban, etc, it is there as an indication of some "expertise" in an area i guess.

Everyone can help generally, there is no need for you to be a benefactor to start helping others, and thats one point the smods consider when determining your intentions.
