I got accepted to B Economics but am hoping to transfer to B Commerce next year. Which classes should I take that will be the most relevant to the Commerce course?

Depends on what you major in. What do you intend to major in? (eg accounting, economics, business tax, marketing, management)

But for a first year BEco, you're core subjects do overlap with core subjects of BCom.

Enrol in ACCT1501, ECON1101, ECON1203 and one more subject.

The last one should be dependant on your major.

this may be off topic, but on the subject of picking a course based on the major of your choice, i'm planning on doing an accounting major and in the UNSW handbook, there's this:

Compulsory courses

and this:
Elective courses

what do i choose?

back to the topic of transferring to commerce, how about a double degree?

As a first year, you can only enrol in courses starting with number 1 (Level 1 courses).

You should do core courses for your DEGREE, which also coincides with Commerce, eg Microeconomics.
