okay, im bored of how unoriginal people are in my year with asking people (via text messaging and email) to the formal

sooo i want to hear what you think would be the most original/funniest/embarrassing/sweetest way you could ask someone to your formal.

just a little fun i suppose.

you could be really sweet and old school and write a letter to them, asking right at the end. But then if the guy is like most guys, he'll be all like WTF get away from me etc etc. But if I had a choice in how someone asked me: that's how I'd ask :) Hand-written letter; sealed with their own two hands, and delivered to my locker/bag/letter box :)

School assembly and dress up, have flowers and all.

Bend down onto one knee and propose that you take someone to the formal.

Can I be the old fart here and say, take a friend? Unless you're really head over heels for this person - Id seriously just take a friend. Formals can get REALLY stressful, there's alot to organise, and anxiety can really kick in! Especially when youre waiting in your car for an hour whilst traffic slowly rolls you towards the red carpet, then there's endless fucking photo's to be taken and all that jazz.

Formals = ALOT of waiting in lines, dinner and ALOT of lame speaches and you finish with some dancing.

The first formal I went to was rather fun, but the other two I went to after that were just... meh more of the same, waiting in cues, speaches, dancing. Blah. Take a friend, at least you can talk to them and it wont be so awkward.

Get a teacher in on it. The teacher will give the person you want to take to the formal a detention in room x at lunch.
They go into that room at lunch, and on the board is written:

CAN I TAKE YOU TO THE FORMAL?
Signed _________________

Then as they read that, you walk in, stop at the door and smile, then they run up to you and hug you and say:

YES.

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Rose in mouth optional.

lol this is what i went for. was all fine until she thought i was using her :speechless: to make someone jealous
do some chris brown, MJ dance up to her (to make her laugh) then, "hey want to go to the formal with me?"
thats what i did...

Now i'm going to ask her sister =p
probably do the same thing for her too.

I was unoriginal. I just asked him over MSN. But it worked well.

We're in a complicated relationship, so anything different would have just been weird.

It doesn't matter who you go to the formal with.

It matters who you go home with.
