Hello

Can someone tell me plz, what is the most effective way in ur oppinion and experience to study for modern history???

write summaries and lists of dates. The more dates you know the better it is to remember the events and their importance. This can be particularly useful if your doing a chronological essay.

For WW1, make sure you know how to talk about sources and you should be fine.

Dates should be known, but i find the best way is going through the syllabus and writing notes on each point. Then again, that's just me, the more i write, the more i understand.

The night before the exam with a jar of coffee beans and a soup spoon to eat them with......

lol.

Seriously, I make summaries with the syllabus. Things like stuff on the groups, key features, and I make sure I have definitions of all the concepts (eg. militarism, communism, etc).

For dates, I select the important ones and put them on flash cards to learn them. It makes it fun (not lol).
