BIG W Nightfill Skills Test? (1 Viewer)

I just got a call from BIGW to do the nightfill skills test soon. For anyone who has done it already or knows something about it, what is the nightfill skills test? And any tips for it?

its just a recognising test.

they give barcodes like..

NQ12C9 then give you 5 others next to it, and tell you to match up the one thats the same.

next is the recognising orders one

like..

ordered:
1. 10 * 100g arnotts choc biscults
2. 20 * 2 pack kenex face tissues
3. 15 * 50g smith chips

came in (text is boxed like a docket):
20 * 4 pack kenex face tissues
15 * 50g smith chips
10*100 arnotts cheese biscults

in that case, you'd say no, to 1st, no to 2nd, yes to 3rd.

yeahs thats what they ask you. U have 5 minutes to answer 45 questions. i answered 35 & got in for an interview.

just dont rush it & be quick on your fingers

I answered all and got 1 wrong

Answered all got 100%. Noted that two were more likely typos than incorrect deliveries.

Don't worry they don't really expect you finish it let alone to get them all right - my interviewer commented as much noting that I was the first person she'd seen who'd managed it.

So no sweat - take you're time an you'll be fine. Have a half decent memory and you'll do better than fine....

when i did the test i was the last person to leave the room. the people that rushed their application form probably got canned without an interview

Haven't done it myself (got in before testing was done) but heard from people that it is really just commonsense and you don't have to freak out if you don't know it.

But the thing is (or so people have told me) is that nearly everything on that test you don't really need, as to do nightfill, you have to do it, not study for it, so really, the test is like a screening process for those who are totally inept (which you probably aren't)
