some primates use their arms to support them when they walk. do they have a bipedal gait??

from what i have read no this is still classed as quadpedalism as it is based on which is used for a majority of the time. I.e. chimps are classed as quadperdalism as they use their fists mostly when they walk, but can do small movements bipedally.

Bipedal Locomotion:
The S-shaped spine of humans allows the centre of gravity to fall over the hips, whereas the C-shaped spine of chimpanzees has a forward centre of gravity

and info from other books and work, also suggest this.
