Birdboot or Birdfoot, that is the question. Could someone tell me which name is the correct version and why the name of the critic in Tom Stoppard's "The Real Inspector Hound" keeps changing. Thanks

It's Birdboot...

I think it's Birdboot, as "Birdfoot" appears to be a typographical error. I have read many critical references stating that the name of this character was "Birdboot".

So i reckon it's Birdboot....
