i wouldnt call anyone.. why create unnecessary fuss? thats pretty immature in my opinion- it as nothing to do with the friend.

and if someone were to call me, i wouldnt want to hear it, its none of my business what goes on between my friend and their ex.

Raw emotions are revealed after the break up. Whats happened is between you and your former partner. You may see there friend and want to find out some things from them, bitch about them, or whatever reason but it really is between you and your former partner.
If it was a friend I would support them where-ever I can but remain impartial unless I've met their ex and know what kind of person they are.
