Having memories of the past (Rachel from BR has memories but she is not human, reps are more human then humans)
Having hopes + goals
Being able to experience a range of emotions (BNW- Lenina finds it hard to accept change)
Having friends
Experiencing love (BNW- Sex is purely physical and they don’t have emotions so love is non-existent, humanity ignored)
Being creative (BNW- Homholtz with his propaganda role)
Being intellectually stimulated
Being an individual (BNW, John is grown up differently so he shows individuality, they all seem to be one big family in BNW)
Caring for others (BNW- John cares for his mum Linda)
‘destruction of humanity’s relationship with the natural world’
effect of scientific advancement on humans
humans lacking humanity

Hmm..when talking about the values, be sure to distinguish it between values and contextual influences.

In Both Blade Runner and Brave New world, the intrinsic human values are challenged. Both Huxley and Scott present different view of humans and their attitude to the surrounding environment:

Here's some questions for both texts:

*Do they show sympathy for others and care for those who are weaker or in need?
*Are they capable of heriosm and bravery?
*Are they aware of their own faults?
