Seriously its getting ridiclous, takes forever for pages to load. Especially around this time of year, 500 people on the forums at the same time

I reckon it probably starting to impact the popularity of this awesome forum

BTW anyone that knows, what servers are Bored of studies on??

It doesn't cost them money to implement blue screen names. The money was supposed to go towards upgrading shit. They probably did upgrade something, but it sure as hell isn't helping much.

Pocketing the money from premiums should be the last thing on their mind.

How about just managing to pay for the terabytes and exabytes of bandwidth used up every single day, especially by you with your 30+ accounts and spam posting.

BoS is a little slower but it doesnt really matter, and brogan77 is rite; if members pay for prenium membership the board has earned it and it can do what ever it wants with it (unless u r the director of the board LOL) yea.

Sounds more a demand than a suggestion. Servers and the forum arent the only thing which requires money. Its all so easy for simple users to demand a server change since its not them that have to go through all the work to do it.

The HSC takes place once a year. If you use to BoS to socialise, just WAIT. If you're an 06er and are whining that you can't access resources etc, why wait till the last minute?

Ah bummer, if only there was a way to implement a system where you can use extra servers for before/during and just after the HSC. Of course it'd be costly however. Could ask for everyone to donate their old computers, and get a ghetto cluster going.

What you're saying is that the government has a right to tax people "because it's their right" ... But then not even spend it on infrastructure that the PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE USING and just pocket it all themselves.

Money from premium goes to running BOS.

The servers have monthly fees. The money helps pay for that.

Upgrading is a signficant endeavour, and not something that's readily going to happen.

This happens every year @ HSC time, live with it.

This may last for a few years yet--I believe all admins except Lazarus have graduated and will be trying to pay back HECS debts before thinking of a few more updated servers for an HSC forum.
