Well... as far as a know, a BOT is a computer program that has the ability to hang around in chat rooms, icq, etc. They might be able to talk to people like Eliza, act as a security guard to mind a chat room while you're away, or perform special tricks that the normal chat program would not allow (eg. give you rainbow coloured writing).

Seeing as though they have nothing to do with planning or making decisions, a BOT is not a DSS.

true, a bot is something that 'you' give a job. 'you' implement and plan therefore the bot is not a dss
