this is the book for HSC 2004
i just read it n i gotta say for a person that neva reads it really touched me. my grandparents on my mums side of the family are polish and i remember my grandmother telling me similar stories about the war... made me cry

its a good book - i hate reading books but this really was a good book

i acutally read it twice! LOL

- best book i reckon (comming from a non reader...)

tru that... im finding im picking up alot more things... n i d un have to find what the plot is.. u already know.. u know what i mean.. like u can picture scenes in ur head already.. n now its just getting in the details

yups, our standard class is doing this for their mod. i dont know which one..
they said its pretty good, too bad i dont do standard english.

umm, try The Silver Sword by Ian Serraillier

polish war time novel. Is a very easy read, but as its a true story about children, it is very moving. If you liked Briar Rose, you'll love The Silver Sword.
