I'm looking for a broadband plan <$50. Preferrably with 15-20Gb download limit.

I have the Exetel plan in mind:
512/128
Connection fee: $145.00
Monthly: $35.00
Downloads: 8 gbytes
Free downloads: 2am-10am
Excess per Gb: $3.00

What happens if I "churn"? Can I? I haven't really dealt with that yet. I am on a TPG 1500/256 plan currently.

Any other plans/providers I should consider? I am aware of whirlpool, just want to get people's opinions on here.

You should churn. Churning is basically changing ISPs without disconnecting your ADSL. Churn fees are usually a lot cheaper than disconnecting, and paying a connection fee.

If I'm not mistaken, TPG and Exetel are on Telstra's churn list, so churning should be fine. Also keep in mind that once you've churned away and your ADSL with Exetel (or whatever company you end up with) is up and ready, contact TPG and tell them you've churned.

aapt right now is quite good. $39/month... 512 k speed and monthly quota of 12gb. The best thing is there is no contract so u can change to 1500k or adsl-2 once the price come down, which i think should happend within the next 7-8 months.
