why should we- i mean, they're making millions of dollars already!
The money that most bands make from their album sales is negligible. If you are a true fan and really want to support your favourite band you will go to their concerts, which is where they make the majority of their money.Originally posted by johnson
musicians have to earn a living too, and it is mainly through their fans' support
So do you think the music industry will go by way of iTunes and the like?Originally posted by Malazn Pleasure
buying cd's r becoming obsolete i reckon.......give it a few yrs then buying cd's will b a thing of the past
I find it gives me a bit of an insight into the band and I like having the lyrics handy.Originally posted by hipsta_jess
why would anyone by a $20-30 cd just for the cover art...all it is is a bit of paper
Only the commercialised pop crap that is out there make this much money. Most bands that are worth listening to don't make anywhere near this much money.Originally posted by freaking_out

I do this when trying out new bands I have never heard of before. For example, if I read about a band in a review that I have never heard about, I will download a few of their songs. If I like the songs, I will buy the album, and if I don't like them, I will delete the songs.Originally posted by LaZy_KoReAn
This is how it works for me:
1) I always download full album of each artist
2) I listen to the full album (sampling)
3) If i REALLY like the album I BUY
