Tax is a bit different in that you don't necessarily have to do your CA because it isn't a requirement to practice. In fact in some firms it is preferable that you go and do your Masters as opposed to CA. As such, doing an accounting based degree isn't actually necessary and by I can assure you that when hiring into tax those with odd degrees are often accepted. And lets face it, your commerce degree / accounting major is actually of very little help practically when you are at work.seremify007 said:Are you sure? What are you talking about "UTS cadetship"? Cadetships are run by the individual firms, not the unis.
