I'm aiming for a low 90s atar, a 90 would be perfect, and the high 80s is fine too but I'm sort of just aiming to hit that 90 range as that would be a big achievement for me. I picked some bad/low scaling subjects because in year 10 I thought I would be lucky to get a 70, and was even considering dropping out. Hence the standard english....
Also just to preface I have seen some annoyed comments on similar posts about people asking these questions when they have relatively good grades like 80s and 90s - but I am not trying to be annoying I just worry because my school isn't ranked in the top 100, a lot of my subjects are lower scaling, im not ranked in the top 10 for all of my subjects, and i have had a few struggles with some subjects which have restricted me to the 60/70 zone for some assesments/exams. I also just doubt myself a lot and can't tell whether im on track for a 70 or 90, and scaling realling confuses me lol.
My school doesn't given 'predicted scores' or anything like that like i know some schools do - so i really have no idea. Any idea of if i would be able to get a 90 atar, or advice of what i should do given my subjects, grades and ranks to maximise my chances.
These are my grades for each subject for each term/assesment task:
English: Task 1 = 90%, Task 2 = 80%, Task 3 = 85%, Task 4 = 100%, Task 5 = 90 %, Trial Paper 1 = 90%, Trial Paper 2 = 82%
Business Studies: Task 1 = 95%, Task 2 = 72.5% (finance topic - i suck at maths but i'm working on it), Task 3 = 95%, Trial = 85%
Studies of Religion 1 Unit: Task 1 =85%, Task 2 = 83%, Trial = 82%
Legal Studies: Task 1 = 88.5%, Task 2 = 84%, Task 3 = 84%, Trial = 85%
Modern History: Task 1 = 60%, Task 2 = 76%, Task 3 = 92%, Trial = 90% (my worst subject consistently over the past 2 yrs but have worked really hard on it and finally seeing improvement)
Geography: Task 1 = 75%, Task 2 = 84%, Task 3 = 76%, Trial = 91%
Here are my grade averages (internals including trials) taking into account the weight of the task:
I also know that the performance of your cohort matters which I'm not sure how good that is. I don't think its that bad but theres definetly a significant amount of people who would bring it down. I don't know for sure though I'm just guess.
Thanks so much
