Evaluate the effectiveness of the criminal trial process as a means of achieving justice
For a Q like this would I talk about ALL syllabus dot points under the Trial Process or just choose like 4: Legal Aid, Adversary system, defences to crim charges, plea bargaining?

Yep, I think so- that's my plan, at least! It seems illogical for markers to expect you to have sufficient time to address every dotpoint underneath each that particular section of the Crime syllabus; I think it'd be better to do fewer, with depth and analysis. Just pick the ones which have the most to talk about, or are most pertinent to your judgment/thesis.
Remember that it's also possible they ask you a much broader question (e.g. last year's HSC, or a Theme&Challenge) that could target all sections of the syllabus.
