Hey all HSC Students & Forum Members,

I'll simply get on the main point, Recently I've been taking having a lack of interest towards studying and I got my marks stuffed up, As you all know we are in some way middle of HSC term 2...

And my marks are pretty low and I have no idea whether I'll be able to make it to 90+ ATAR. and I really need 91 ATAR in order to get enrolled for my chosen course at university of my choice.

So My marks so far are:

Term 1

English 80% (Weighting Approximately 20%)
Mathematics 40% (Weighting Approximately 20% or 25%)
Economics 65% (Weighting Approximately 25%)
Design and Technology - No Assessments/Projects
Physics 17% (Weighting Approximately 20%)
Business Studies 48% (Weighting Approximately 25%)

Term 2 (My estimation of marks I may receive based on how my exams went)

English 90% (Weighting Approximately 25%)
Mathematics 50% (Weighting Approximately 20% or 25%)
Economics 25% (Weighting Approximately 20%)
Design and Technology - 80%
Physics 47% (Weighting Approximately 20%)
Business Studies 60% (Weighting Approximately 20%)

I've realised that I really need to study and I am really motivated than anything, I just have a question whether i can recover my mistakes and whether if it's still possible to get 90+ ATAR, If yes then what marks would I be required to get for HSC TRIALS and HSC.

If it's not possible to get 90+ ATAR at this stage or If I fail to get above 91 ATAR, Is there any other methods on where I can make it to the same course?

I am extremely sorry for Bad English and Grammar mistakes. Please Help :)

Love you all! PEACE!

Mature age entry, external or internal transfer..

Rank of school? Your rank in respective subjects?

It may be possible, but sounds extremely unlikely at the moment.

My school shall not be considered as one of the good schools i assume, Due to lack of understanding of English and multiculturalism, We've been told that we'll be offered 5 BONUS ATTAR points, So it probably means I'd require 86 ATAR to enter my course hopefully.

Rank of school
Around 400, I don't want to tell the exact as it may let out name of my school

My Ranks in subjects
English - 8
Design & Tech - 5
Maths - 70
Economics - 35
Business Studies 60
Physics - 40

Hope that helps

You may be able too, it mainly depends on your ranks.

Use a ATAR calculator to find out what you need to get to get that, it may be hard since you've been lacking off.

OP, first off, your username resonantes with me. I should use it as title to my biography.

Secondly, yes there is still a chance! My friend recieved 60% in her first assessment and still managed to leave with a 97.25! Also, if you smash your externals, and improve your rankings, a 90 will be easily achieved!

Suggestions:
- Consider changing your study methods.
- Use you teachers! They are a VITAL TOOL FOR SUCCESS! Discuss with them, let them tell you areas you need to imporve on, and work on that!
- Be on top of everything
- Past papers before an exam are an important resource too. Get them marked by teachers as well.

I don't see it happening. Not even close.

If you're school is in the rank 400s, I feel like you need to be top, or at least second place with amazing marks.

My school is ranked ~470's, would that mean I'd have to achieve top marks in all of my subjects?! Would these ranks satisfy an atar of ~85?
