The reason africa doesn't produce cheap labour is because YOU CANT MAKE SHIT WITH STICKS AND AIDS! But yeah the reason they have kids is because moar kids equals more peopls to work the fields and make food etc. And if some die, then so be it cos they already have 26 so one less wont matter. Its like mice breeding out of control. Mice with sticks and aids.

its because they have no money, no materials to produce anything with.. they have nothing except some land and plants... how are they supposed to do anything with that? and even u said it - "you cant make shit with sticks and aids". Well thats y investment in these countries is required.. its like china and east asia.. once they started to industrialise, they dramatically reduced their poverty levels. the problem is also because of corruption and the fact that all this guerilla bullshit is hampering any progress - theyr obviously happy where they are if they burn down villages etc. An army needs to go down there and kill the mofos.

haha yeah i know im only joking about the sticks and aids and shit but its pretty funny tbh. But serious time now, the no money etc all comes from the one source. Lack of education. It all stems from there. Aids included.

Actually, it's more to do with education. On average as the level of literacy in a nation increases, so does its birthrate decrease.

This itself is correlated with an increase in wealth, however, so it's impossible to define a direct cause.

EDIT: What static said.

EDIT 2: And of course lack of education is generally a direct cause of a lack of wealth. IT'S ALL INTERCONNECTED IN THE GREAT CIRCLE OF LIFE.

It's so true. Teaching people to fill skilled jobs will both bring income to the table and provide services to the community. Need AIDS education for both men and women & the importance of safe sex, and especially for women: that they don't have to be dominated by men in when and how to have sex.

Look, you're being a tool if you're not willing to recognise that the political process relates intimately to the economy.
That's nonsense,if Bob Brown were elected prime minister we'd have a very differently run economy but it would still be a democracy. By the same token if Ron Paul or Ralph Nader were President of the United States, you are infusing two different concepts.

what skilled jobs? where are these skilled jobs you speak of? we're talking about africa here dammit lol

yes the education about safe sex is very important, i agree with that... but that should be aimed at men. i dont think women have much power to stop being dominated by men as you say..

But in your story it's still the prime minister/government dictating the economy, thus linking economy and politics.

Yes but there is no reason why military dictator couldn't believe in the same economics as Ralph Nader. Or three Oligarchs, or a monarch.

wats a oligarch?
Oligarchy is a small collection of people whom between them form like a dictatorial council of sorts. So a member of the oligarchic council is an oligarch.

Not in a capitalist world.
Capitalism is the most efficient method of wealth generation humanity has ever known. Implementation of Capitalism leads to greater income equality between men and women, promotes education, reduces poverty and overall contributes to a better way of life for everyone, than humanity has ever seen.

What would you rather we all went back to being fucking vassals and serving at the pleasure of the King?

I never advocated doing away with capitalism. Read all the posts, for curtailing poverty it's by far the best system, but for eliminating it, it can never, it's fundamentals don't allow for it.

Precisely, pure free market Capitalism won't eradicate poverty, but pure free market Capitalism leads to proper goddamn slavery, so let's not walk down that path. Easy way to eliminate poverty
* Sound Currency not based on debt (i.e fuck off Fractional reserve)
* Compulsory free public education with basic standards
* Free public health care

Boom poverty goes the way of the wildcards.

You'll have a few select cases; homeless, etc; but with charities and PROPER investment in mental health care, you'll be set.

That seems very much a hybrid between capitalism and socialism. You allready admitted that you don't agree with pure, free market capitalism, but I don't really see you're theory more incliend towards capitalism then socialism.

Not unless there is some massive changes, and; not unless everyone takes a stand instead of living thier lives in the way they do at the moment.

Watch:

Zeitgeist Addendum.

Simply, poverty isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
