I wanted to use If on a winters night a traveller for a related text with After the bomb, but i think i remember someone saying you cant use a related text that is a core text for standard or advanced. Does that mean i can use this one if its a core text for ext 1?

In the HSC, you can. But for school, check with your teachers because they might have their quirks about what they want to see in your essays.

Honestly though even if you can, I wouldn't as I doubt the markers would look favourably on it as they would assume that you couldn't be bothered to analyse something yourself/lacked originality.

I'm fairly sure it isn't allowed. That's what my teachers have been telling me, but it is possible to share related texts between modules, provided it isn't a core text in another module.

I think you're allowed in the HSC exam and school, teachers wouldn't be too pleased with it though.
