Hey Guys,
On Friday i reversed into a car at a carpark
The car was a Mitusbishi Mirage while mine was hyundai excel.
i reversed on to the Rear Right hand side.the damage was like a small thump.Damage was apparently 4x4cm size.but what didnt make sense was the damage looked like it was done previously, the damage looked like it was against the way i came.
anyways i as we were exhanging details he said he had full insurance and i had only 3rd party insurance i was wondering would the insurance company ever go for something smaller...and would make more sense if just do it privately without involving the Insurance company?
Thanks in advance

Uh paying for this guys car to get fixed privately will cost you a shitload. I suggest let your insurance company handle it.
how much do you think it would for something so small?

a 4x4cm ding isn't so small. The panel will need to be bashed into placed then sanded back/primed/sprayed. Which will take time. Unless they just replace it all together. Assuming you only dented a panel and thats it, probably around 200-300 bucks. If you have cracked a guard or a light or something extra it all adds up.

As a rough guide $500 per dint.

Though for something as small as this sounds you could probably get away with about 300-400.
