my friend works at target, hes always got the same pay as me and i work at big w, we both got 9.80 or something when we were 16

I work at Target, I'm 15, but 16 year olds get the same pay rate. It's $9.69/hr

You don't get a major pay rise until 17 years old. Although every 6 months, you get a slight pay rise because of the agreement with the SDA.

The agreement is also being renewed next month, so the pay rates will go up again. By looking at how things are going, and also looking at some recently renewed agreements for other stores such as the Coles one, there could be a chance of a pay rise to $10+/hr for 16 year olds. Should be good.

I take it your new to Target. What store? What will you be doing?

At my induction, they gave me a folder of paperwork which included bank details, red shirt order forms, tax file no. declaration etc. Also a contract of employment.

Anyway, they give you that and you can take it home and fill it out. If you wanna get paid as soon as possible, bring it back as fast as you can.

Did it waste your time? Oh well, you get paid for it.

umm all thats happend so far is:
hand in application form
interviewed
called and told i got the position
and then called again and told to buy the uniform and come to induction on wed.

Hmm... normally you have to complete an online induction in which you get paid 6 hours pay for it. Maybe you'll do it after in store induction.

I take it you'll probably start on registers. After, you may move to floor, it just depends.
