Cathode rays and aether (1 Viewer)

Ok, how does cathode rays (especially in the presence of an electric field) disprove aether. I wrote that in a prac exam (i did it a few months ago) and i got it rite (tick). Thing is, i don't no why because i either forgot or i just made it up (it sounds to knowledgable to make-up). Thanks in advanced.

I can't say i've ever heard of this one. Cathode rays [electrons] shouldn't really have anything to do with the aether, save in the way that they interact with the electromagnetic force.

However, I'd be interested to hear more about this if there is any more to be said. Keep us posted.
