I'm just putting together a cd of songs for a girl. Here's the situation:
I saw her in my IR tute. We didn't talk until 3 weeks ago. I asked her to go to a gig with me. At this stage, I had a big crush on her. At the gig we were getting very close and she said:
"i really like you. ive liked you since i first saw you in my tute. im shy and it took me so long to gather up the courage to even talk to you. i was thinking of slipping you a note. something about bright eyes, because we both like them. i want nothing more right now than to kiss you. but i have a bf"
The situation between her bf is pretty complex. When she came to Australia (she's on exchange from Luxemburg) she met this guy who was on exchange from Norway. he was like the only person she really connected with because of the foreign country factor. Now they are flatmates. Also, he's emotionally unstable and slightly suicidal apparently.
I'm too much of a nice guy and don't really want to come between (no pun intended) her and her boyfriend. Nor, do i want to force anything. I told her that "I would love to be friends with you rather than not know you".
As the night progressed we talked more and more...and...well, i've fallen for her really hard. She is amazing. Magical. Unbelievably attractive etc etc.
So i've taken to making a cd with songs that touch on our situation. All the songs are by Bright Eyes (as we share a common love for that band). Here's the track listing as well as lyrics links. What do people think?
