hey guys.. i got an interview for virgin music and was wondering what sort of questions they ask .. i really dont know what to expect... like, are they gonna quiz me on the latest bands or what.. and just how extensive does my "extensive music knowledge" have to be.. arghhhh @#$%!!

well knowing the calibre of music knowlegde of the staff at sanity/virgin, i'd say you need to know very little

Read a music mag before you go in- and I'm pretty sure they'll be interested in you if you can prove you have some form of interest in the stuff you'll be selling.

They'll questions your general knowledge of music. Your interests and what sort of music you like. Try to show that your open to the music scene.

As to how extensive, not very but you need to know at least something.

thanks for the replies guys =D im just really nervous that theyll expect me to know obscure things like who was the bass guitarist on the second song of band XYZs 3rd album.. ok maybe that was a slight exaggeration but u get what i mean ahh i hope i get in.. working in a record store is my dream come true.. shouldnt get my hopes up tho *sigh
