Change in ASB Dean's List Criteria (1 Viewer)

Just read from ASB's website that the criteria has changed to Top 3% instead of Top 5%. Any idea why they did so and what would be the ~ cut off for Top 3%? What would be the lowest WAM you guys have heard of that made it on ASB Dean's List in recent years?

stage 1 wam cutoff is usually 85ish (thats the lowest i heard from this years stage 1 anyways) so with top 3% instead id estimate like 87+ ~~ but thats based purely off a guess and not backed up by stats.
Not sure what its like for stage 2/3

Nah not 85ish for sure I landed Stage 1 with 84. I know someone who had a WAM of 83.5 as well who made it on the list. Was wondering if majority on the lists are within the 83-85 range with maybe top 2% with 85+ or so?

oh wow interesting if the lowest for stage 1 is 83.5 then the lowest for stage 2 would probably be lower

One of my friends emailed the relevant people and asked and they said they would estimate 86 for stage 1 and 85 for stage 2 and 3 noting that students wams are concentrated around the lower cut offs for deans list

What do you guys reckon is the highest business WAM for stage 2? Id guess someone doing 4 subjects might have got 94 or 95ish
