i arrived home from a holiday to find my little UMAT info booklet (!!) but i noticed that in the section 3 example questions there aren't any of the 'find the shape' questions included.

am i mad, or are they just omitting them from the test?
if so, i think there will be some happy little chickens (like me!)

now, where am i going to get $150 from?

I doubt this is a trick to mislead the candidates cause would just be stupid. They have most probably left it out from this years exam.

after taking 5 minutes recovering from your post, i must admit i was expecting the total exclusion of shapes to happen in the future, but not in UMAT 2006!

Just have to wait for the Practise booklet to comeout

Its hard to believe that they would totally remove the shapes section without any warning, usually in the past the UMAT has reduced the number of questions of a certain type, not completely remove them. It may possibly lead to shapes/sequences becoming a lot harder if they do. But please post up if shapes are in the practise booklet.

You are perhaps forgetting that they DID reduce the number of shapes questions over a period of years, starting in mine (2003) all the way to now.
