In my school there are heaps of people who freak out at the prospect of failing/getting a low UAI and so, a lot go to the toilets, look at what they've written on their stomachs/legs and then come back to finish it off.
The funniest thing about it all is that even with all their cheating and trying to cheat, they still fail lol

They should have studied, then they wouldnt be facing the prospect of failing.

but that's terrible! cheating - in their hsc or trials...even if they got really good they wouldn't be able to feel satisfied about their marks or ranks.

i didn't know it happened though, and it's very unfair for other people! in our school if people need to, y'know - 'go', then they are escorted by the examiner people. i think that's the best way? finished trials now :)

Are you retarded? Report them!!! (The way I see it, if you noticed they were in the toilets, then they were in there cheating... In an exam where you're 'COMPETING WITH THEM', how can you rightfully accept them cheating you outta ranks which are rightfully yours....
Lol....Daniel fuken beats us even if we cheat

yeh the students that usually cheat are really dumb so i don't worry about those people because they won't get near me, but it's really anoying if someone close to your rank is cheating because i makes a major difference to you personally.

It's anoying that you can't really do much about it. it's not like they can do a full body search for notes, you could even hide them up your ass and then pull it out in the toilet and read them.

yep it is pretty bad Holy Cross... in my physics exam a bloke went to the toilet for 20 mins and i heard he was watching a tv episode on his ipod lol. what can they do, u can just say ur constipated lol. oh well, they are only cheating themselves.

Lol stupid really...With English even with a minute you can write half a HSC page.

If you're trying to read some extra notes in the toilet, then you might as well spend less time sleeping during HSC and more time memorising your essays. But seriously, don't worry or bother about reporting these people, cos most of the time they don't even get into the UAI range of 90-100 anyway.

If you do plan to report them, do so anonymously, because you probably have no idea how far these people will go to ruin your HSC in return.

In one of the exams last term or term 1..cant remember, i know some guys which cheated. They pre-wrote the essay so they go high marks.
This term for the trials the school was smart. They changed the colour of the exam writing papers for each exam...and yeah i notice alot of people going to the toilet esp during these trials and the same people each time...
One of the teachers got pissed and was like saying to everyone " one boy went to the toilet 3mins into the exam, one 7 mins into exam...i'll just ring up your parents and ask why does your son have a blader problem or something" LOL!!

Some of you sound genuinely surprised!! It is a given that the practice of having "tutors" write and edit assessments (for the right price) is rife. I have even heard of parents writing their kid's assessments. So what are these kids supposed to do in an exam with no tutor or pa on hand ??

Who's to blame? First, the system that drives and allows people to cheat. Secondly, the corrupt adults who lend themselves to this immoral practice (parents who cheat for their children or who promote cheating by tutors are damaging their kids). Last - but not least - the damaged kids who lack the confidence and courage to face life (yes, this is a life-long attitude) by themselves - without the tutor, the cheat-of-a-parent or the "little bits of paper".
But don't worry...they're the losers in the end...

couldn't have said it better myself.

after reading the beginning of this thread yesterday morning before my English Paper 2 Trial I keep my wits about me to see if anyone around me went to the toilet and kept a mental gauge of how long it took them to get back. surely enough there was this one guy who got up, ran out (i swear i even spotted him reach for something from his pocket on his way out) and he was back within less than a minute. now the toilets arent right next to the hall so how he managed to run there, chuck a whizz and get back in 50seconds beats me.

regardless though, im only speculating and i have no proof.

Lol I had my last trial today..history extension.

Halfway through this guy went to the toilet. He's a rank or two above me, not dumb but not a genius, and he came back in no time! The toilets are just behind the stage, it would take about 15 seconds to get there, and he was back in 40 seconds.

No I didnt time him, I just noticed because he did the same thing in another exam...so yeah, I don't know, I think in the history exams cheating would be helpfull...like if you couldnt remember a quote or a source, just a quick look at your prepared essay...so yeah I think its unfair but there's nothing that can be done.

Lol, I wished I had a cheat sheet with me when I was doing my ext exam and trying to remeber a really modern historian for convict women, and the only person I could remember is Sara Bisel,Biswel. something like that. She's actually from ancient history. So that wasn't helpful.:(

during our trials i know of two girls who wrote down preprepared answers( cause we didint use booklets) to the essay questions and just took their essays out during the exam when the teacher wasent looking. Preety unfair considering they could then spend all that extra time on the other sections of the paper.

i didn't even think of cheating in the trials. damn it, i should have. totally bombed business. j/k. i wouldn't cheat. too late now anyway.

my friend cheated for chemistry. i only found out after trials ended. she went to the bathroom 3 times during her exam. apparently she had this thick chemistry text book underneath her top and she wore a belt to keep it from falling. she wore a jumper and a scarf to cover up the bulk. it would've looked weird, since it wasn't even cold that day. when she went to the bathroom she wrote the answers on her palm or something. she almost got caught by a teacher. can't go into too much detail eh.

well . . . she really needed to ace the chemistry exam because she bombed her last assessment.

what pressure does to some people.

It's pathetic.

We have cheaters at our school - girls who regularly turn up to class, and girls who don't.

If you're not going to even bother turning up to class, why the hell are you still at school for? And no, they don't remain because they're parents have forced them - It's been their choice all along.

Some girl in my English class slipped in a pre-written essay after an assessment when no one was looking, just so she didn't have to waste time writing it. Most of the time, any of the assessment she's done, have been from her older friends, who've done really well in the HSC.

She even tried getting a peak at my Bus. Stud. extended response, during trials, on her way back from the toilets - probably to check what she'd written on her arms, under her jumper. Stupid cow.

You can always make up quotes for historians or even the historians, as long as your teacher is not a bitch in marking/checking.
