I am currently going to do Nanotechnology at UNSW (HOORAY~!) and am having trouble of selection what course... So far, I am going to do PHYS1131 as I love physics and also have done it at school. For maths, im doing 1131 as the higher maths requires knowledge of 4-unit maths which i havent done. anyways, the real problem is deciding on chemistry. I havent done chemistry at school but currently do a bridging course for it. Which chemistry is more appropriate for nanotechnology? is there any benefit for doing a harder course? 1011 or 1031~ please help me decide~!

if they are basically the same, why not 1031? so you're saying theres no benefit at all?

Nanotech has a lot of chem, so it's better for you to do higher Chem. In Higher courses, you generally get better tutors and demonstrators - trust me - 3 yrs of experience at uni :p

same number of hours though? lol

i had a friend who told me he sat down 1 chem lab and 5 tutes and got 85 i think... but i shouldnt compare myself to him coz ive only seen him get under 80 once= the eng/comm student

so i think ill stick with 1011 just so that i can turn to him :) when i need it

um i thought u have to sit for at least 80% of the labs or else u fail.
if he only attended one lab throughout the semester ....he has automatically failed.
maybe he bribed Roberts.

Meh I know I've broken a lot of compulsory requirements for various courses and still passed =\

sorry he said 1 lecture, he said he attended all the labs and computer labs and got nearly 100% in all of the stuff that was assessed
