Hi guys,

I'm deferring a year of uni in favor of travelling and full time work. However I'm keen on the idea of transferring to a university outside of NSW and try something new.

I'm in my second year, so im wondering what kinds of challenges ill face. Will i have to repeat first year subjects, is there potential to enrol back at usyd and graduate there?

Any replies would be much appreciated

hmm, well the year away to do travelling and work can be done, but I don't think you can study at a another institution as mentioned in the suspension-discontinuation form here:

Forms & Policies for current students at Faculty of Engineering and IT - Home - The University of Sydney

unless you completely discontinue your degree and enrolment at USYD, then do your year of travelling/work/drunken holiday/going to a new uni/getting smashed around Australia etc and when you come back you have to re-apply through UAC as mentioned on the form, and then apply for credit transfer cause you did previous study.

oh btw small world lol! you do chem eng at usyd as well?
