Could someone please suggest some good chemistry experiments that can be easily done at home? Can be anything to do with metals, water or energy.

My brain is dead at the moment =[

Thank you!

put some HCl in a water bottle with some metal. close it up and throw it into your neighbours yard.

if you want some stuff check out that backyard science (i think this is what its called) show. its got kids doing experiements. they are probably the best things you can do at home

If you're going to do that, excluding the neighbour's yard lol, make sure you dliute the HCL first. Anything below 2M is relatively safe, even though it can still damage you. A good metal is aluminium foil.

Mixing Vinegar and Baking Soda is exothermic, so you could feel the heat. I used this to look at the effect of pressure on reaction rates. I put a whole heap in a 2L bottle and shut the lid. When I thought the pressure had built up enough, I took of the lid. It shot off lol and hit the wall, but I got a cool heap of fizz as well.

Mentos and diet coke is always fun. Just make sure you do it inside, cause that just makes it that much more fun :D
