Okay guys,
My chemistry teacher sucks.
REALLY sucks.
The other day he put the words 'epthalmy' and 'calorimetry' on the board, and being the trusting person I am, I expected him to explain. But no. We were just told to write them down. And flipping google them.
But I can't seem to grasp exactly what they are, and why, how, when they're used?
And now I have an assignment on it.

Enthalpy - the amount of energy released (or absorbed)
Calorimetry - the device you boil with your chemical to find the enthalpy.

Calorimetry: Calorimetry is the science of measuring the heat of chemical reactions or physical change (from Wiki)

E.g. determining the heat of combustion of ethanol by heating water.
