Did anyone notice something strange about Question 15? The correct option was immediately obvious. 🤣
With my OP guessing skills, I scored 16/20 in section 1 (if I only answered the question I could do, I would've gotten 8/20) I'm actually pissed I didn't get 17/20 there was one equilibrium question I could've answered without guessing tho

What if I just plotted the points, no line or anything else?

See how everyone presents their graphs for discrete stuff as well, nobody is using primary school column graphs.

You can't draw a trend from a column graph, but you can from a scatterplot. Part (ii) asked for a trend.

Where do you think you're getting a trend if you treat them as discrete (by drawing a column graph)?

Just plotting points, rather than columns, is fine IMO. Joining the dots is (formally) problematic as it implies some continuous change against an x-axis that only allows discrete values. It is less bad when the x-axis is numbers as in the IE graphs you show, as opposed to the discrete categories identified on the x-axis in the label of the HSC question. I am guessing that the markers will accept column, points, and joined points, but not a LOBF.

I do not think it was the easiest exam so far, it will definitely scale equal to or better than last year AND 2023 (the latter is more likely). Too many trick questions imo.
