gay's law is that volumes of gases in a reaction, when at same temperature and pressue, can be expressed as a simple whole number ratio.

...av's law
equal volume of gases, when at same temperature and pressure, have the same number of molecules.

i asked about it today you dont round up, the empirical formula is C2H5 thats not the actual formula, its the simplest formula, if you double it you will find to to actually be butane. C4H10. make sense now?
