on the open day by accident me and my friend we got in the opotometry lecture. there were about 1000 people only me and my friend were non asians, its scary. and uai you need is about 98 point something.

haha 2 or 3 girls is exaggerating a bit. There are a pretty big amount of girls in CSE, but the ratio in any class is very unbalanced.

haha thats soo true. I had one in discrete maths, and every single time he did an example he'd go "very easy...yeh? very easy..."

He did it 12 times in one lecture once - problem is I didn't understand any of those examples he said were easy :mad1:

Its good that how there are girls in CSE+Engineering - like how everyone should be treated equally, but I think that groups like Women In Computing just defeats that "treat everyone equally" idea when you create an exclusive 'club' just for that group.

You'd be pleased to know half of the comp sci coops were girls last year :D

No, 3 is the right number. There were 6 comp sci co ops last year, 3 of them were girls.

argh, it says that women are only 22% of the total computing students.

Just hope that the women in computing program won't make them isolated to guys. That'd be bad :p

7 and 4 respectively, actually. :)

which is a VERY nice ratio, lol.

all in all there are quite a few girls in CSE@UNSW. it's quite neat. ;)
