LOL

Not necessarily drop it...but BE PREPARED for A LOT of work! The amount of work is scary. But if you're willing, then go for it. Coz it's rewarding :p

Satori, I did similar topics to you. Greece 500-440BC and Xerxes fit together very well!

i think ancient is by far my hardest subject, especially because my awesome (yet a total deranged workaholic :D) teacher decided for some reason unknown to us to all that we would do two topics at once. so i have no idea wtf is going on because we're doing a historical period (the 2nd one on top of that) at the same time as a society. i'm confuzzled and i missed two weeks of classes! ah!

personality - cleopatra (looking forward to this one :p)
society - rome in augustus-titus (meh)
historical period I - augustus-julio claudians
historical period II - rome 68-235 (we're still up to like, 69-70 AD, just after Vespasian gained power! ahh!)

my teacher looooves augustus. she has a framed picture of him above her blackboard. i conducted a little experiment by inserting random augustus compliments into a set of questions about galba (ie for a question about why he failed so miserably i said something like 'unfortunately he did not possess the leadership skills of the brilliant leader augustus, and so...'). i got 19/20. :D

Is anyone else doing Greece 800-500BC? Doesn't seem to be a very popular choice.

Minoans
Akhenaten
Sparta
think Julio-Claudians as well but not sure

hate minoans, love spartans, dont have an opinion of Akhenaten, mediumly fond of Julio-Claudians
for me its one of my bludgier subjects but then again any subject where your teacher gives out find a words, crosswords and colouring in all the time may be a bit far from what you're meant to be learning

Hello, my name is David, and I'm a recovering alcoholic.
My religion dictates that I must suffer the insufferable, and as such:
Sparta
Pelopennesian War

Are my topics. And I can't remember the others, which probably isn't good.
And actually I like ancient, a lot. :)
