poetic technique
In that type of question to be able to answer it effectivly you have to look at poetic techniquies and device and how the composer (owen) uses them effectively to reoesent war. Here are some eg's
personification i.e "Move hime into the sun....." (futility) Giving the sun human qualities or "...signals nodded and a lamp winked to the gard...." (send off)
Alliteration "...rifles' rapid rattle...." (Anthem for doomed youth) creates sound of war and urgency.
Imagery "...Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!... ("Dulce et Decorum est) Creates a picture of the battle field in the responders head. "Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags...." (Dulce et Decorum est)
Also talk about symbolism and how that is used in the poetry "...at each slow dusk the drawing down of blinds." (Anthem for doomed youth) This relates to the resprents war in a sence that it highlight the result of war and that is death. The drawing down of blinds is a mark of respect.
Hope that helps
