Anyone know how to become a member with the Co-op book shop? i mean do we fill out a membership application form on enrolment day and on the spot we're issued our membership card? because im plannin to buy books on enrolment day.

you can download a form and fax it to them at the co op site.

Co-op membership discounts will remain the same. The Co-op system has been programmed so that only textbooks with specified textbook codes used by the Co-op will automatically give the 8% rebate at the point of purchase and only if the customer is confirmed as making a bona fide student purchase at the start of a sale.

mean that they will do it automatically? do we have to check with them?

you don't get membership on spot but you need to pay $25 to become a lifetime membership

are you sure you don't get membership on the spot?

i thought you did. i remember at usyd co-op they offered me membership when i was buying my textbooks, and she said i would get a further discount on the ones i was purchasing!!!

and why wouldn't you get the membership on the spot, you only buy textbooks like once a semester, cuz it would make it rather pointless if you didn't get the discounts that day.

all students get the 8% discount. it some government initiative or soemthing to help out uni students!

yeh i became a member 2day after i saw d prices of textbooks
u can fill in ur form afta u get ur concession card stuff n pay the 25 bux n ur a lifetime member

How do we claim the coop membership discount, and the student discount , when purchasing online ?

yeah but probably a bit less than that. they do the 8% (i think it's in the price) and then they do the 10% after that.
