You might've searched the wrong session so it didn't turn up - higher courses usually don't repeat in second session.

I'd do 2711 asap - it provides the foundations for many other 2nd and 3rd year courses.

Even though I would have enjoyed it more if I liked the lecturer more, I guess..

It also lets you take better electives in session 2 of second year.

Don't be. It is hard, but not too much harder. just more assignments.

The problem with 2711 was the frustration level.. not in a good, "I'm programming THIS" frustration level but in a "I have no idea what i'm supposed to be programming, someone decipher the spec for me!!!" way.
