To answer your questions quickly, (respectively)

measure risk, sometimes long, good, quite low so you may be trying for a while.

I could expand but seriously if you're asking these questions now...

Go trawl through the archives of the Macquarie actuarial forum. We have questions like these answered and much much more!

But it is the truth. They have different criterion for each gender.

From what I've heard, the short list is as long as the # number of offers, possibly more in case no one offered a coop actually accept them in case they change their mind, have another offer elsewhere, etc.

I got a conditional offer for ISM. I didn't get Finance though, which is what I really wanted. Nevertheless, I'm happy to have the option of doing ISM :)

Congratulations Rench =)
Thanks :)

I'm still not sure whether to accept the scholarship or not. I've got to decide between a BCom (ISM Co-op + Fins major), a BCom (Acct + Fins) or a BCom (Fins)/LLB. I like computers, but I really don't know whether that's the career path I want to go down...at least I've still got a few days to talk it over with teachers and other students :)

Well, there are jobs for computing students, just nowhere near as many as there are Acct/Fin jobs. Good luck in choosing something- to me, I've always liked computers and being good at the studies, but in the real world, nothing pisses me off more than a slow computer which doesn't work so I don't think I'd survive in a job which required me to work with them!

Btw, Congrats on the great achievement!
