I want to begin Python for teh lulz

I get incredibly bored sometimes, and I want to acquire a fascinating skill. Is Python worth learning? c:

The language you start with doesn't matter too much (with a few exceptions). Most of the skills you learn early on in any language will be directly transferable to any language, once you get your head around syntax differences and the standard libraries. The more indepth you go, the more differences there could but that shouldn't discourage you.

I'm about migrate from using exclusively Java for the last year (because of uni) to primarily using C#, which are pretty similar languages.

Yeah Python is great! You should look into doing the NCSS Challenge, which is starting next month. It's a 5 week programming course/challenge that allows you to build skills in Python. You can choose from 3 streams - beginner, intermediate or advanced based on your current expertise. I highly recommend it!
