"COLA is an online advisory service for commencing or prospective students who are undertaking undergraduate studies that include mathematics, physics, chemistry or computing, either as core courses or electives. It is designed to help them to determine the appropriate course to enrol in where several levels are available to suit different backgrounds. It uses UAI, HSC results and online testing to ascertain the student's range and depth of knowledge of each relevant discipline."
